AION Will Produce Local Cars In The First Quarter Of This Year

JAKARTA - As a newcomer to the Indonesian automotive market, AION Indonesia affirms its commitment by conducting local production, which will begin in the first quarter of 2025.

This assurance was revealed by AION Indonesia CEO Andry Ciu, he also revealed that the factory will be located in Cikampek, West Java.

"For the location in Cikampek, I have several times that there is an AION factory there," he said, when met in the Yogyakarta area, Tuesday, February 4.

Later the factory will assemble all AION car ranks in Indonesia. He further revealed that the first model that will be assembled is AION V.

"For the assembly, it started with AION V in March and was directly distributed to consumers, but the early stages were not too much," he added.

After AION V, the next model that will also be assembled at the same factory is HT's Hyptech model in May, followed in June by AION Y Plus.

"Hopefully in the first half, we will assist the three models," he explained.

The selection of the AION V assembly to be the first turned out to be not without reason, Andry revealed that because the SUV got a pretty good interest.

"Animo AION V is quite good, so we are pulling forward which should be the July SOP to March," he concluded.
