Bad news came from Hyundai after announcing a recall program involving 226,118 vehicles for the United States (US) market.
Launching from Reuters, Friday, November 29, the culprit for the start of the program is because there are concerns that the image on the rear camera failed to be displayed.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the recall affected the Santa Fe SUV and the Elantra model sedan in 2021-2022.
This automotive manufacturer from South Korea will address the problem that dealers are walking on to replace the rear camera system to return to normal functioning. Vehicle owners do not need to spend a penny or free of charge on this repair.
This also adds to the list of recalls involving Hyundai branded vehicles in Uncle Sam's country. Recently, more than 200,000 vehicles under the auspices of the Hyundai Motor Group, consisting of Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis were affected by the recall because they suddenly lost power.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the recall covers 145,234 Hyundai and Genesis EV lines, including Ioniq 5 2022-2024, Ioniq 6 2023-2025, GV70 2023-2025, and GV60 2023-2025. Then, 62,872 units of Kia EV6 2022-2024 were also affected by the recall.
Affected vehicles have problems with the Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU) system responsible for charging a low-voltage 12V battery using power from a high-voltage system.
ICCU is a common point of failure at EV Hyundai, Genesis, and Kia on the E-GMP platform, and if it fails, 12V battery charging will stop. The voltage decreased, causing the loss of power to cause the car to lose power or speed.
