JAKARTA - Kia Corporation officially announced the opening of the Kia Gwangmyeong EVO factory as the first electric vehicle production facility.
The factory is located in Kia Autoland Gwangmyeong, this new facility in South Korea has an annual production capacity of 150,000 units and has started producing Kia EV3 in the first half of this year, which will be followed by EV4 in the first half of 2025.

On the same occasion, Seung Won Park, Mayor of Gwangmyeong, revealed that the completion of the Kia Gwangmyeong EVO factory will help Gwangmyeong City to establish itself as the center of the electric vehicle industry in Korea.
