JAKARTA - The Great Wall Motor (GWM) made a breakthrough in the 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) some time by introducing 300 HEV Tanks that carry strong designs and advanced technology.

This model also complements the ranks of sub-brand tanks in Indonesia, after manufacturers introduced 500 HEV Tanks at GIIAS last year and started selling them in March this year. Then how is the reception so far?

Responding to this, GWM Indonesia Marketing Director Hari Arifianto, said that this car was received as well as the 500 Tank so far.

"Receipt of Tank 300 is quite good during GIIAS. Even though it was only launched at the beginning of GIIAS, the performance can be as good as the 500 Tank which was first introduced in March 2024," said Hari when contacted by VOI, Monday, July 29.

Unfortunately, GWM has not provided detailed figures regarding this car. However, Hari confirmed that the 300 Tanks were the best-selling ones during GIIAS 2024 followed by Tank 500 and two Haval products, namely H6 and Jolion

"Tank 300 is the first contributor, followed by Tank 500, Haval H6 and Haval Jolion," added Hari.

Tank 300 HEV has a relieved dimension with a length of 4,760 mm, a width of 1,930 mm, and a height of up to 1,903 mm. The manufacturer claims that this car has a maximum climbing depth of up to 35 degrees.

Not only a tough theme, the sturdy element is also embedded in the control section. The chassis this car carries is aluminum upper control arms with shock absorber tuning in front and back and additional coil springs behind.

The GWM Tank 300 HEV has a number of interesting things on the exterior ranging from a tough front bumper, side step, longitudinal roof rack, retro-designed LED lights, LED fog lighting, and a large sub-brand Tank logo in the middle of the grip.

This car has a series of features that accommodate off-road performance, ranging from differential locks at the front and rear, then Tank Turn, and Crawl Control to make it easier to get past various obstacles.

Moving to the interior, elements of the luxury of Tank 300 HEV can be seen starting from the cabin layer with diamond patterned stitches, propeller-style transmission lever, vintage cylinder AC ventilation, and intelligence cabin with full sensory immersion experience.

Not only tough and luxurious, 300 HEV Tanks are also equipped with adaptive cruise control (ACC), Intelligent Cruise Assist (ICA), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR).

Resilience is also embedded in the same 2.0 liter turbocharged HEV engine, such as Tank 500. Combined with the transmission of nine Hydraulic Automatic Transmission accelerations, the car produces 342 dk of power and 648 Nm of torque.

For the Indonesian market, Tank 300 HEV is priced at around Rp. 833.8 million and will enter the country's mass-premium market.
