Tips From ACC At GIIAS 2024: How To Successfully Get Car Credit

TANGERANG - When they want to buy a car, customers are faced with a wide selection of payment methods, one of which is credit. Credit is an attractive option for customers who cannot buy a car in cash.

Credit transactions require a third party from the financing institution, so there are several steps that need to be followed so that credit applications can be approved.

Astra Credit Companies (ACC) Chief Marketing & Sales Officer, Tan Chian Hok, gave several tips for approved car credit applications. First, select a vehicle that suits your financial capacity.

"Don't let us have a budget for the Avanza, but we want Mercedes-Benz. So, it doesn't match," said Tan Chian Hok in his explanation at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Thursday, July 25.

In addition, buyers must prepare a down payment of around 20-30 percent of the price of the car to be credited. "Generally, the car credit must pay 20-30 percent of the price of the car to be purchased," added Tan Chian Hok.

Choose a suitable installment program and complete several documents such as KTP, KK, and financial data. "We also have to know whether we have to pay installments when it matures at the end of the month or the beginning of the month. This is something that needs to be considered," he explained.

Financing institutions cannot approve credit applications carelessly. They need to know personal information from vehicle buyers. Tan Chian Hok explained that ACC uses the 5C: Character, Capacity, Capital, Condition, and Collateral methods.

"Character sees the character of customers who apply for credit. We are working with the OJK to ensure its provisions. Capacity looks at the consumer's financial capacity. Capital evaluates customer assets such as homes and residential locations. Conditions check customer work and businesses. Collateral is related to the BPKB of cars that will be stored in the financing center," he explained.

If all these steps run smoothly and according to the provisions, the financing institution needs to know the purpose of using a credited car. "If all of these 5Cs have no problems, we also need to ask what the car needs, what kind of mobility needs," he concluded.
