JAKARTA - Some time ago, Mitsubishi had announced plans to release several more car models in the next few years.

After launching XFC and XRT, Mitsubishi launched a concept car called "Moonstone". Interestingly, the concept car was designed not from Mitsubishi, but from students Istituto Europeo in Design (IED).

Quoted by Carscoops, Tuesday, March 28, Moonstone was introduced to a special event held by IED in Turin, Italy. This concept car is a couple-SUV equipped with two doors.

For the exterior, Moonstone has an LED headlights similar to the XFC concept, LiDAR lighting is also mounted on the engine hood, a covered grip, and a slightly prominent bottom bumper.

The side itself features a slightly stiff design, added a feder that protects the big tires, and the rear is equipped with Y-shaped LED lights, as well as a small spoiler that connects at the top.

So far, the IED has not provided details regarding the specifications of Moonstone. However, they promised to embed outstanding performance on the car in the future with an all-wheel drive system (AWD).

This concept was designed by a group of students consisting of 18 people from the 2021/2022 Transportation Design Masters course at IED, Turin.

Not only Mitsubishi, but IED has the support of technical sponsors such as Pirelli, OZ Racing, and Lechler, while for full-size models assisted by Freeland.car, MINTT, AM Costructionone Modelli, and Raitec.

Unfortunately, Moonstone's concept car is not intended for production but rather for car design learning.
