Calling Chelsea Against Aston Villa Full Of Energy, Tuchel: They Are Very Strong

JAKARTA - Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel was pleased with his team's performance when they won the match against Aston Villa in the English League Cup on Wednesday night local time.

"I'm happy because we won, it was a difficult one, and now we have a few competitive minutes at the feet of more players," Tuchel said, quoted by Antara from the club's official site.

According to Tuchel, the match against Aston Villa was filled with energy as well as opportunities for both teams trying to win the game.

He added: "Aston Villa played very strong and Chelsea played like that which made the game interesting to watch.

"It was a game full of energy, a great opportunity for both sides between two teams who tried everything to win.

"Aston Villa played really strong, as they did 10 days ago, and again today. We did really well. It was an interesting game to watch, to be in the stadium for this. It's also part of what we do, providing entertainment," said Tuchel.

Chelsea won the match against Aston Villa on penalties thanks to Reece James' decisive goal and Kepa Arrizabalaga's brilliant save after a 1-1 draw in normal time.

Next Chelsea will meet Southampton in the last 16 of the English League Cup which is expected to be held at the end of October.

Again facing the English Premier League team, Tuchel admits this will be a tough match.

"Another Premier League game, and a tough game of course," said Tuchel.
