JAKARTA - Real Madrid has offered Vinicius Junior a better contract since the 2026 World Cup to continue talks that have been stalled for almost a year.

Speculation about the Brazilian's future has intensified in recent weeks, with his current contract with Real Madrid due to expire in June 2027 and interest from Premier League champions Arsenal.

Real Madrid have now offered Vinicius a contract worth around 22 million euros ($25.5 million) per year, which is an increase on what the club had been offering in negotiations over the past two seasons.

However, the leak did not reveal the details of how long the contract extension was proposed.

However, the difference between Real Madrid's latest offer and Vinicius Junior's demands - around 30 million euros - is still significant. It is also unclear how long the duration of the contract offer will be.

Vinicius currently receives a salary of around 17.5 million euros per year as his contract is about to expire.

If he does not renew his contract, the winger can leave the Santiago Bernabeu as a free agent at the end of next season and can sign a pre-contract with another club from January 2027.

Launching ESPN, the player and his agent believe that, at 26 years old, this will be a decisive contract in Vinicius' career.

They believe Real Madrid must reward the star for what he has done for the club since joining in 2018, including scoring in two Champions League finals.
