JAKARTA - The national deliberation (Munas) of the Indonesian Kickboxing Central Management (PP KBI) was colored by confusion because it was triggered by the desire of Ngatino as the current general chairman who wants to run again for a third consecutive term.

The KBI PP Munas 2026 is planned to be held at the AKR Kebon Jeruk Hotel, Jakarta, on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. A number of founders of the KBI PP also criticized and rejected Ngatino's plan to run again as a candidate for general chairman (caketum) of the federation because it was considered to violate the basic budget and household budget (AD/ART) which became the organization's constitution.

"There is no basis and right for Ngatino to run as a candidate for chairman of the general election at the 2026 PP KBI National Congress because it clearly violates the PP KBI AD/ART," said one of the founders of PP KBI who did not want to be named.

Ngatino has served as the General Chairman of the PP KBI for two periods, 2018-2022 and 2022-2026. If he runs again, it is clearly in violation of Article 19, Paragraph 2 of the PP KBI's Sixth Article on the Central Management.

The section reads, "The term of office of the General Chairman and the Central Executive of Kickboxing Indonesia (PP KBI) is four (4) years and can be reappointed in one term and/or the next management period."

In addition, Ngatino's candidacy also violates the Central KONI AD/ART as a result of the refinement agreed upon at the Extraordinary National Consultative Meeting (Munaslub) of the Central KONI in May 2026 regarding the rules for double posts for KONI managers, managers of sports achievement branch organizations, functional sports organizations both at the central, provincial and labupaten/city levels.

The regulation applies to the positions of general secretary/secretary and treasurer/treasurer (KSB). Thus, Ngatino should not run because he is also the General Secretary in the Indonesian Wushu General Board for the 2026-2030 term of office.

"It is not allowed to hold positions in other sports organizations. Both horizontally and vertically," reads the amendment to AD/ART KONI Center articles 22 and 23 on overlapping positions of KONI managers, managers of achievement sports organizations, functional sports organizations at the central, provincial and district/city levels.

The source who refused to be named admitted that he had not received an official letter regarding Ngatino's plan to run again for a third term at the 2026 KBI PP Munas. "If there is no official letter, but we already know everything that Ngatino will run again," he said.

He further admitted that there were indeed rules in the AD/ART of the Central KONI which allowed the General Chairman of the sports branch organization to serve and run for a third term. However, this can only be done if there are no other candidates who apply. "It means it must be 100% from the Provincial Council," he said.

Thus, the plan to nominate Ngatino at the 2026 KBI PP Congress will automatically be canceled because in its implementation there is more than one person who will be the general chairman candidate. One of them is Mohammad Ikhsan Nurdjamil, who is the General Chairman of West Java Kickboxing.

However, based on the results of the verification carried out by the KBI 2026 PP Munas selection team, Nurdjamil was declared not to meet the requirements specified to become the candidate for the General Chairman of the KBI PP for the 2026-2030 term because he was not supported by a minimum of three (3) founders and 12 legitimate provincial managers of Indonesian kickboxing.

The results of the verification of all the files submitted by the prospective candidates were carried out on July 14, 2026. Meanwhile, the official letter of notification of the results of the verification signed by the Head of the Damanik Healthy Penjaringan Team and Deputy Chairman of HM Rosehan NB was issued on July 24, 2026.

"This letter should have been issued at the time of the opening of the National Congress in accordance with the provisions in the PP KBI AD/ART," protested one of the founders of the PP KBI.

The dynamics that occurred around the 2026 KBI PP National Congress began to emerge in February. At that time, the plan to advance a certain figure at the 2026 KBI PP National Congress received a strong rejection from dozens of provincial managers (Pengprov) of kickboxing.

The provincial leaders who rejected it then formed the PP KBI National Silaturahmi Forum (Silatnas) in Jakarta on February 9, 2026. A total of 22 provincial leaders attended the meeting and assessed that the process leading up to the 2026 National Congress was full of irregularities and was carried out outside the provisions of the AD/ART of the organization.

They urged the PP KBI General Chairperson to revoke and revise the determination of the organizing committee of the National Congress through a decree (SK) Number 85/PPKBI/I/2026.

After the Silatnas activity, a number of Provincial Heads were also allegedly intimidated, even nine Provincial Heads were frozen from their management, namely Maluku, North Maluku, Riau Islands, Jambi, Aceh, Gorontalo, East Nusa Tenggara, West Kalimantan, and South Kalimantan. "Their deactivation was not carried out through the process that has been regulated in the AD/ART," said one of the founders.

The question does not stop there. A number of representatives of the Provincial Government who are considered as initiators of the Silatnas PP KBI forum were also called to undergo an ethics hearing. The process and implementation of this ethics hearing were also considered to violate AD/ART.

"Any organization in this world will be fine if it adheres to its 'holy book', but if it is violated from the beginning and the one who gives an example of the violation is the General Chair, then what will this organization be like," said one of the founders.
