Moto3 standings after Veda Ega finished sixth at the 2026 Spanish Grand Prix

JAKARTA - Indonesian young racer, Veda Ega Pratama, maintained his position in the top 10 of the 2026 Moto3 provisional standings after he successfully completed the Spanish Grand Prix in sixth place.

The rider from Gunungkidul was impressive in the race at the Jerez Circuit on Sunday, April 26, 2026, afternoon WIB. He started the race from 17th position, but was able to overtake his competitors to secure 10 points.

"Finishing the race in sixth place after starting from 17th place is a very good result, especially in my first race in Jerez," Veda said in a statement received.

This result adds to Veda's sweet record as a debutant in the class. The 17-year-old racer has now collected 37 points from the four races that have taken place.

The number of points makes Veda entitled to the sixth position in the standings or one step up before the Jerez series. He is still 53 points behind Maximo Quiles who is in the top position.

Behind Quiles is Alvaro Carpe with 53 points, Adrian Fernandez in third place with 49 points, Valentine Perrone with a collection of 47 points in fourth place, and Marco Morelli in fifth place with a collection of 45 points.

In addition to being able to maintain his position in the top 10 of the standings, the results in Jerez also made Veda manage to strengthen his position as the best rookie.

Veda is temporarily ahead of Brian Uriarte in ninth place with 28 points. The Red Bull KTM Ajo rider finished in 11th place in the race at Jerez, adding only five points.

The result in Spain also made up for Veda's failure in the previous series race at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA), Austin, USA. At that time, he was involved in an accident so he failed to add points.

Veda was very impressive in his debut season. He started the season by finishing fifth in the opening series in Thailand and finishing third in the second series in the Brazilian Grand Prix.
