TVRI as the official broadcast rights holder of the 2026 World Cup in Indonesia does not want to be left behind in welcoming the euphoria of the four-yearly world football party.
One of the tangible forms is by participating in broadcasting a series of international friendly matches involving the world's giant teams.
This was conveyed directly by the Acting President Director (Dirut) of LPP TVRI, Rika Damayanti, in a press conference held at the TVRI Media Center, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 25, 2026, afternoon WIB.
"As part of the series leading up to the 2026 World Cup, TVRI will broadcast friendly matches involving major countries in the world of football," said Rika.
One of the hot matches that will be featured is when Brazil plays France. The meeting will be broadcast live on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 02.30 WIB
Apart from that match, TVRI also broadcast other exciting matches, namely Scotland vs Ivory Coast on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 01.00 WIB, and Brazil vs Croatia at 06.00 WIB.
Rika stated that this decision is a first step to build public enthusiasm, as well as present an international competition atmosphere that can be felt before the main tournament begins.
"The presence of these matches is expected to ignite public enthusiasm and build closeness with the atmosphere of international competitions," he said.
To ensure that the entire series can be presented optimally and with quality, TVRI also presents a Media Center as part of the development of broadcasting capabilities.
This facility is TVRI's commitment to presenting a more modern, collaborative, and global standard production process so that it can provide an increasingly optimal viewing experience for the Indonesian people.
"This Media Center will operate from June 11 to July 19, 2026. Later it will become a center for media activities related to the 2026 World Cup, equipped with large screens, workspaces, computers, internet access, and other supporting facilities," he said.
On the same occasion, TVRI officially introduced the tagline "Bola Gembira" as the main identity in welcoming the 2026 World Cup.
This tagline represents the spirit of joy, unity, and optimism that wants to be presented through every broadcast, as well as a symbol that football belongs to all Indonesian people.
"Bola Gembira reflects our commitment to making every broadcast a source of happiness, togetherness, and positive spirit for all people," he said.
