All England 2026: Indonesian Young Players Stage

Raymond Indra/Nikolaus Joaquin is one of the Indonesian representatives who will make his debut at the 2026 All England (doc. PBSI).

JAKARTA - The 2026 All England, which took place this week, will be the stage for Indonesian young players. Of the total 24 names who took part in the event, the majority were debutants.

The world's oldest badminton tournament, which this year is the 116th edition, is scheduled to run from March 3-8, 2026 at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham, England. Most of the Indonesian representatives this year are young stars who are debutants.

Badminton player Alwi Farhan is one of those who will experience the atmosphere of this prestigious event for the first time. He also admitted that he was enthusiastic to show his ability.

"The preparation here has been several days of training in England yesterday, quite maximal, quite competitive. It's a good capital for the All England later," said the 2023 junior world champion in a statement received.

Other names that will also debut at the All England are Raymond Indra, Nikolaus Joaquin, Rachel Allessya Rose, Febi Setianingrum, Jafar Hidayatullah, and Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu.

Joaquin said that he was also very excited to be able to perform. He is determined not only to be a decoration of the lottery, but to go as far as possible.

"My feelings are very happy because this is indeed a tournament that we have been chasing since childhood. This is a very valuable opportunity and should not be wasted," he said.

Other Indonesian players who are recorded to make their debut at the All England are Rahmat Hidayat, Meilysa Trias Puspitasari, and the mixed doubles of Amri Syahnawi/Nita Violina Marwah.

Overall, Indonesia sent 13 representatives to the BWF Super 1000 level event. That's not including former Pelatnas PBSI player Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja, who came down with her partner from Singapore, Hee Yong Kai Terry.
