Inter Firmly at the Top of the Table After Gasak Pisa 6-2

JAKARTA - Inter Milan won convincingly 6-2 when hosting Pisa in an Italian League match at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium on Saturday morning WIB after recovering from being two goals behind.

This victory makes Inter solid at the top of the Serie A standings with 52 points.

For Pisa, this is the 10th defeat this season which makes them even worse in 19th place with 14 points, according to the Legaserie A website.

Inter was surprised by the aggressive performance of the visiting team when Stefano Moreo's two goals in the 11th and 23rd minutes put them 0-2 down.

As reported by ANTARA, Moreo's first goal came from a long-range shot that took advantage of goalkeeper Yann Sommer's mistake, while the second goal was born from Moreo's header that failed to be stopped by Inter's back line.

Inter increased the intensity of the attack and the result was seen in the 39th minute after the Nerazzurri were awarded a penalty kick due to Matteo Tramoni's handball in the penalty box.

Piotr Zielinski managed to reduce the deficit to 1-2. Two minutes later, Inter equalized through Lautaro Martinez's header which took advantage of Federico Dimarco's cross.

In injury time, precisely the 45th + 2 minute, Pio Esposito scored a goal through a header to turn the tide 3-2.

In the second half, Inter completely dominated the match. A number of opportunities were created through Petar Sucic, Pio Esposito, Federico Dimarco, and Marcus Thuram, most of which were thwarted by Pisa's defense and goalkeeper Simone Scuffet.

But Inter's lead increased in the 82nd minute after Federico Dimarco scored the Nerazzurri's fourth goal through a quick counterattack that was started by Marcus Thuram's movement.

Four minutes later, it was Ange-Yoan Bonny's turn to put his name on the scoreboard to give Inter a 5-2 lead.

Inter's goal feast was closed by Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the 90th+3 minute.
