JAKARTA - Pelita Jaya Jakarta officially introduced their squad ready to fight in the 2026 Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) competition which will roll out starting January 10.
The event to introduce the composition of players who will fight this season was held at The Convergence Indonesia, Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Thursday, January 8, 2026. This year, the Jakarta-based club is chasing their fourth title.
Pelita Jaya President, Andiko Purnomo, said that they always present something new every year to pursue their goals, especially this year a number of new recruitments were made for the ambition of the champion.
"We have won four times. The fifth star we are chasing. We are rebuilding and updating (players) to the end to be champions," Andiko said in a press conference in Jakarta.
Pelita Jaya made a massive overhaul in their player line-up for this season. A number of new faces adorn the composition of local players, namely Andrew William Lensun, Oka Ananta Yogiswara, Putu J. Satria Pande, and Victory Jacob Emilio.
In addition, the two potential rookies they presented were Candra Irawan and Russell Nyoo. These names were included in the squad to replace old players, such as Yesaya Saudale, Anthony Beane, Greans Tangkulung, Harits Prasidya, Nick Gosal, and Abiyyu Ramadhan.
