A Series of Indonesian National Team Abroad Players in Transfer Rumors, From Persib to AC Milan

JAKARTA - The transfer rumors again involve a number of names of Indonesian national team players who are playing abroad. Most recently, there are four names of players who are associated with different clubs, ranging from Persib Bandung to AC Milan and Venezia FC.

This information is widely circulated based on opportunity data from Transfermarkt as well as reports from European journalists. Maarten Paes and Joey Pelupessy are the first two names of Indonesian national team players who are associated with moving to one of the Super League giants, Persib Bandung.

In fact, it is said that Paes' chances of joining Maung Bandung are at 45 percent. The 27-year-old goalkeeper currently plays for FC Dallas in Major League Soccer.

Paes has the status of the main goalkeeper and is still under contract until December 31, 2026. With that status, Persib must prepare a transfer or loan option if they want to bring in Maarten Paes.

Next is Joey Pelupessy, the Indonesian national team's defensive midfielder is currently defending Lommel SK in the Belgian League 2 (Challenger Pro League). However, Transfermarkt recorded Pelupessy's chance of joining Persib at 71 percent.

This is inseparable from Joey's contract record with Lommel SK which will end on June 30, 2026, thus opening up more flexible negotiation space in the January 2026 market.

The captain of the Indonesian national team, Jay Idzes, is also in the big rumor discussion. The Sassuolo defender is even rumored to be on AC Milan's target list.

The chance of Idzes moving to a Serie A club is at 59 percent. This rumor surfaced after Sky Sports journalist Luca Cilli uploaded information via his X account.

"AC Milan are interested in Sassuolo defender Jay Idzes. There is currently no direct contact between the two clubs, but the player is interesting for the club (AC Milan)."

"The reason is his age, room to grow, and flexibility in the three-back formation (he can fill all roles in this formation). Idzes is under contract with Sassuolo until 2029," Cilli wrote.

However, the latest news regarding the former Venezia FC defender's transfer opportunities has not progressed.

The last name of the Indonesian national team player in the rumor list is Ivar Jenner. The 21-year-old midfielder is linked with Venezia FC, an Italian Serie B club.

Jenner's chances of moving to Venezia are said to be at 32 percent. Currently, Jenner is listed as a FC Utrecht player, although he often appears with Jong FC Utrecht.

His contract expires on June 30, 2026. Jenner has made 13 appearances with a total of 553 minutes played and scored one goal.

The lack of opportunities in the first team is often cited as a reason for Jenner to consider a new club, although the rumor has not been officially confirmed by the parties concerned.
