JAKARTA - The MilkLife Archery Challenge - the 2025 National Archery Championship - was held successfully. This event was held as an effort to strengthen the structure of archery competitions in Indonesia.

The championship, which is the result of collaboration between the Bakti Olahraga Djarum Foundation, MilkLife, and PB Perpani, will take place on December 9-19, 2025 at the Supersoccer Arena, Kudus, Central Java. A total of 1,360 athletes from 116 archery clubs took part.

The Chairman of the Panahan Antarklub 2025 National Archery Competition Organizing Committee, Abdul Razak, said that this event was designed to strengthen the national competition system. He hopes that later a qualified talent will be born who can compete at the international level.

"This competition also opens up space for young athletes to add flight hours at the national level so that talents are expected to emerge who are ready to defend Indonesia in regional and world events, including the Olympics," said Abdul Razak.

The 2025 Archery Interclub Championships will compete in four divisions, namely national, compound, recurve, and barebow with a number of age groups. All divisions compete in individual numbers, men's-women's doubles, and mixed doubles.

Program Director of the Bakti Olahraga Djarum Foundation, Yoppy Rosimin, said this championship was in line with the commitment of the Djarum Foundation to strengthen the archery ecosystem from an early age.

"The level of coaching for archery athletes is now clearly visible from an early age to the national (national training) and world stage. With this strong chain of ecosystems, we hope that athletes will be more motivated to train and carve out achievements that will make Indonesia proud," said Yoppy.

Yoppy assessed that Indonesia's archery potential is very large if we look at the international achievement records that have been achieved. Indonesia once won silver at the 1988 Seoul Olympics and most recently won gold at the 2025 Thailand SEA Games in the recurve and compound categories.

"With this achievement, we believe that continuous coaching can bring Indonesia to greater heights such as the Olympics," said Yoppy optimistically.

From the competition arena, DKI Jakarta's young pepanah, Galeno Rubyan Ashia, won the title of the U-13 individual recurve champion. The Fast Kodamar athlete defeated Ramdhani Khairul Anwar from Wibawa Mukti Archery in the final match.

"I am very happy and relieved to be a champion at the 2025 Antarklub Kejurnas because of the results of discipline training and prayer. I dedicate this success to my parents, with the nearest target to enter the pelatda (regional training) and the big dream to appear in the Olympics," said Galeno.

Meanwhile, Kori Rajwa Nuha Saputro from Grobogan Archery School came out as the winner of the U-15 recurve individual women's event. He successfully overcame the resistance of Alyeva Putri Rafina from Fast Kodamar in the final match.

Kori admitted that he was nervous because he had lost to the same opponent in another event. However, focus and confidence made him able to perform consistently until he became the champion.

"I try to give my best with regular training, including physical training to be more ready during the match. This success motivates me to continue to train hard to realize the dream of becoming an Indonesian athlete who is successful at the international level," said Kori.
