Tottenham insists it will be active in the January transfer window as Solanke remains absent

JAKARTA - Thomas Frank promises Tottenham Hotspur will be active in the January 2026 transfer window. He hopes that recruitment can be done early despite positive news about Dominic Solanke.

Frank has been unable to use the services of the £65m striker Solanke for almost the entire season due to a continuing ankle injury.

Recently he decided to stop giving updates on the England player until he was back training.

Although Solanke has not returned to full training, he has hinted that he will return soon. However, Frank still expects Spurs to be active next month, with majority shareholder ENIC - which is managed by the Lewis family foundation - willing to strengthen the squad after they injected £100 million into the club in October 2025.

Spurs have three games before the end of 2025 and Solanke does not seem to be playing. However, he posted a picture of a hourglass on Instagram on Friday, December 12, 2025, as a hint that he might be back soon.

Former Bournemouth striker Solanke first reported a foot problem in pre-season. Although he was able to appear in three matches in August 2025, the 28-year-old has been absent since then.

He also underwent a minor ankle surgery on October 1, 2025.
