JAKARTA The Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) decided to return to dismantling in the women's doubles sector so that it gave birth to a new couple.

The Indonesian badminton parent announced the latest formation that was reshuffled in a post via their official Instagram social media on Friday, December 12, 2025.

The decision to carry out the latest rotation paired Apriyani Rahayu with Lanny Tria Mayasari and Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti playing with Amalia Cahaya Pratiwi.

"Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti will partner with Amalia Cahaya Pratiwi, while Apriyani Rahayu plays with Lanny Tria Mayasari," PBSI said in their upload.

The two new women's doubles will make their debut at the Indonesia Masters 2026, the Super 500 level BWF tournament which will take place at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, on January 20-25.

In the previous composition, Fadia participated with Apriyani after they had previously been separated. Fadia was paired with Lanny after being separated from Apriyani before returning.

Meanwhile, Amalia previously played with Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma, who is currently partnering with Meilysa Trias Puspitasari. The Febriana/Maysa pair is included in the ongoing 2025 SEA Games squad.

PBSI in this year's calendar has repeatedly rotated the double sector. They are trying to find the best composition to be able to hunt for tickets to the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, United States.

Previously, they also made changes to pairs in the men's sector. Fajar Alfian, who previously played with Muhammad Rian Ardianto, is now paired with Muhammad Shohibul Fikri.

Fajar/Fikri are now one of Indonesia's mainstays in the men's doubles sector. They even qualified for the BWF World Tour Finals 2025 by playing only eight tournaments.

The change then put Rian playing together with Rahmat Hidayat. However, this couple is not yet in their best form when compared to Fajar/Fikri.
