The decision to simplify 191 Ministerial Regulations (Permen) from 2009 to five to 20 was made considering that there are many regulations that are no longer relevant.
One of the rules that was evicted was Permenpora Number 14 of 2024 concerning the Standard Management of Achievement Sports Scope Sports Organizations. This regulation had caused a polemic among national sports stakeholders.
"This (regulatory) program will be completed. The agreement from the December team will be completed. So, only later at the beginning of next year we will start discussing with the public and of course what sports stakeholders we can do," said Erick.
In this meeting, discussions also led to consolidation between KONI and the Government. Both parties agreed to create a big program in the coming year so that national sports could have flashy achievements in the future.
Erick said that the biggest focus is especially on sports that must be prepared for the National Sports Week (PON), and can continue to the SEA Games, Asian Games, and the Olympics.
"God willing, next year we will try to create a joint program that we did for the good of the sports community. Of course we support what Pak Marciano has done in carrying out the transformation at KONI so far," said Erick.
Another discussion on this working visit was the implementation of the 2028 PON in East Nusa Tenggara and West Nusa Tenggara which focused on the Olympics and the biennial PON such as the 2025 Self-Defense PON in Kudus recently.
In addition, there are also discussions related to the 2026 Beach PON which are planned to take place in Jakarta and plans to hold an Indoor PON and Youth PON in 2027.
