Held In Belitung, AETI Aquabike Cup 2025 Becomes The Aspect Of Determining The National Champion

JAKARTA - The AETI Aquabike Indonesian Championship Season 2025 Final Round will be held in Belitung. This agenda will determine the national title for this season's jetski competition series.

This is as stated by Randi Wibawa as Director of Aquabike and Powerboat of the Indonesian Motor Association (IMI).

"The results will determine the national champions so far this year. So, this (AETI Cup in Belitung) is a very important race," said Randi Wibaya during a press conference in Jakarta, Monday, December 1, 2025.

This activity entitled Gempita Belitong will be held at the Tanjung Tinggi Geosite, Belitong Unesco Global Geopark, Bangka Belitung, on 5-7 December 2025.

The total number of participants in this edition will involve 30 people, consisting of 18 professional racers who have confirmed participation, as well as 12 general participants. Later there will also be three categories contested, namely endurance, circuit, and parallel slalom.

The three categories will compete in six numbers, namely experience endurance talk about GP1, novice endurance run about GP2, veryeur runabout GP2, tweeting about GP1, parallel slalom ski GP2, and parallel slalom runabout GP4.

Rudi added that this year's closing series will be the first race to be held in the marine geopark area. Previously, the implementation was carried out at the lake geopark, Lake Toba, North Sumatra.

The new location is considered to provide different challenges for the participants, both from the wave character and track contours, as well as being part of an effort to expand the use of geotourism destinations for national water sports activities.

Chairman of the Indonesian Tin Exporters Association (AETI), Harwendro Adityo, also stated that the 2025 AETI Aquabike Cup activities are expected to have an impact on the regional economy through the development of sport tourism.

"To revive the regional economy and develop sports tourism," he said.

Moreover, according to Harwendro, Belitung has the advantage of being one of the national tin producers, as well as a special economic area for tourism that continues to grow.

Not only presenting the jetski competition, the Gempita Belitong-themed activity also offers many series of events for three days, ranging from cultural festivals, culinary arts, musical performances, and other entertainment agendas.
