Inter Milan Vs AC Milan: Derby Della Madonnina Duel Penentu Puncak Klasemen

JAKARTA - The first Derby della Madonnina this season has again attracted public attention when Inter Milan and AC Milan met at the San Siro, Sunday night, November 23. The two Serie A giants were only separated by two points, with Inter slightly ahead thanks to their impressive performance throughout October and early November.

Inter ended the international break with high confidence. After maintaining a perfect record in Europe with a 2-1 win over Kairat, Cristian Chivu's men beat Lazio 2-0 in the league.

Lautaro Mart Mariez continues to be the main focus, while Ange-Yoan Bonny provides a fresh alternative up front. Inter now lead the Serie A goal list with 26 goals from 11 matches and always score a minimum of two goals in every Champions League game.

However, Chivu is not yet fully safe Inter has struggled to face city rivals last season, losing three to five meetings and only drawing 1-1 in last February's league game.

On the other hand, AC Milan started a new era under Massimiliano Allegri more stable. The Rossoneri extended their unbeaten record to 10 games in all competitions, although they had to settle for a 2-2 draw with Parma before the international break after winning two goals.

Milan's successive win over Inter in the Italiana Supercoppa and the Coppa Italia semifinals last season gave the Allegri squad more confidence ahead of this derby.

Only two points adrift of Inter and Roma, Milan remain on the path of the Scudetto's race, especially as they are not disrupted European schedules.

Inter are likely to appear without three players: Denzel Dumfries, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Matteo Darmian. Carlos Augusto has a great chance of filling the right side, while Piotr Zielinski and Petar Sucic are fighting for a place in midfield.
