Jakarta U17 League Competition Results Players Will Be Nominated For The DKI Jakarta PON Pra Team

JAKARTA Bina Mutiara, a young football club based in Tebet, South Jakarta, won the 2025 Governor's 2025 Jakarta U17 Cup League competition. The youth coaching competition, which was attended by 18 clubs throughout Jakarta, was held at PSF Square, Pancoran, South Jakarta starting April 19 and ending on Wednesday 12 November.

After completing a total of 34 matches, Bina Mutiara was ranked first with 81 points. The second place is occupied by Farama FC with 77 points, while Bintang Kranggan is in third place with 73 points.

"This competition must continue and continue to exist, because it is very good for coaching young players," said I Gede Widiade, owner of PSF Field as well as competition advisor.

PSSI only has a Soeratin Cup tournament once a year with a duration, say, one month. After that, what do children want to do for 11 months? Even though they need enough frequency to play to hone their skills, and it won't be enough with a tournament like the Suratin Cup," Gede added.

Given that this kind of competition is very crucial for coaching, the initiator of the Jakarta U17 League, J. Erwiantoro said that this competition will be held again in 2026.

"Next year, the Jakarta U17 League competition will be held again. There will even be a U15 League competition that we will name the Soeratin League," said Erwiantoro.

Although it has been held since April 19, the Jakarta U17 League competition has only been officially opened by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, at the Pancoran PSF Field on May 4.

At that time, Pramono emphasized that this kind of competition was very good and important, so it had to be continued for the advancement of DKI Jakarta football. For the record, DKI Jakarta does not participate in soccer in the two National Sports Weeks (PON), namely in 2021 in Papua and 2024 in North Sumatra-Aceh.

"I hope the committee can make a list of players from the Jakarta U17 League selection. Then it will be offered to the Governor, who will become embryos for pre-PON or other football events that the DKI Jakarta team will participate in," said Gede Widede added.
