Neymar Goes Raging When Santos Is Threatened With Relegation

JAKARTA - Coach Santos, Juan Pablo Vojvoda, underestimated Neymar's angry reaction when he was replaced in Brazil's Serie A match on Monday, November 10, 2025, morning WIB, against Flamengo, stating that it was a natural response to a player.

The Brazilian forward started in a league game and was pulled out in the 85th minute as his team trailed 0-3.

When leaving the field, Neymar questioned Vojvoda's decision before going straight to the dressing room, refusing to stay on the bench until the final whistle sounded.

"About Neymar, it's only natural that he's angry, like any other player, but I decide who should leave."

"I think it's natural that he's angry. He's not being rude or anything like that. Respect is there and the players want to play, want to help now, which is a difficult time for the club," Vojvoda said.

Santos, who was ranked one place above the relegation zone, scored twice in stoppage time after Neymar left the pitch, but that wasn't enough.

The 33-year-old recently returned to action after being sidelined for 48 days with a muscle injury. He has scored three goals in 15 league appearances for Santos.

According to a Brazilian ESPN report, Neymar plans to leave if Santos relegates.
