Nova Arianto's Hope After The U-17 Indonesian National Team Was Beaten By Brazil

Nova Arianto still has hope that the Indonesian national team will qualify from the group stage of the 2025 U-17 World Cup after suffering a painful defeat against Brazil.

The Garuda Squad Easily lost 0-4 to Brazil in the second match of Group H of the 2025 U-17 World Cup 2025 World Cup at Aspire Zone, Doha, Qatar, on Friday, November 7, 2025.

Nova said that he was very happy with the performance of his team. He considered them to look better than the first match against Zambia.

"I want players to always show this kind of effort, and while we still have one more game, and after all I ask that we can get three points, so that our chances are still open to qualify for the next round," he said.

The latest defeat against Brazil makes Indonesia now sit in third place in the group standings. Of the two matches that have been undertaken, Garuda Muda has not collected any points at all.

The Indonesian national team will still play the third or final match of the group against Honduras on Monday next week.

Mathematically, Nova Arianto's squad still has the opportunity to secure a ticket to the round of 32 as one of the eight best third-placed teams.

"Honestly, I tell the players, we really have to fight for that one game, even if we win later, we qualify or not, but I don't care about that, but I want us to get three points tomorrow," Nova said.

Honduras currently occupies the basis of the group standings and has not collected points from two matches. Indonesia needs a big win to keep the chance to the knockout stages.
