PSG Confident of Ending Bayern Munich's 15-Win Streak in the Champions League

JAKARTA - Luis Enrique is confident Paris Saint-Germain can end Bayern Munich's incredible 15-match winning streak in the Champions League on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, early morning WIB.

The German champions will travel to the French capital to face the last team to beat them in a competitive match, with PSG winning 2-0 when the two teams met in the 2025 Club World Cup quarter-finals in Atlanta last July.

"If we talk about their results and their last 15-match winning streak, it's incredible. We know how difficult it is to win three or four games in a row. If they win 15, that's incredible. They deserve it."

"But tomorrow's match will be at the Parc des Princes in front of our fans and the atmosphere they create in every game."

"We're confident we can improve our performance to try and overcome their pressure. I think the result will be similar to the match in the summer (2025 Club World Cup)," said PSG manager Luis Enrique, as reported by ESPN.

PSG and Bayern Munich enter the fourth match of the group stage sitting in the top two positions in the standings. The French team has a superior goal difference.

Les Parisiens are also not willing to be distracted by Bayern Munich's record, which has won four of their five meetings, including the 2019/2020 Champions League final.

PSG's only victory came in the first leg of the 2020/2021 Champions League quarter-finals, a 3-2 victory.

However, PSG are now the defending Champions League champions and have a great chance to improve their head-to-head record.

"I think we can find the answer tomorrow. It's better to talk on the pitch than here," said PSG midfielder Vitinha.

Bayern Munich, six-time Champions League winners, have their hopes hinged on how well England captain Harry Kane can add to his 24 goals for club and country this season.

Vitinha further acknowledged Kane's qualities as a dangerous predator who could inflict pain on PSG.

"Harry Kane is a great player, he's one of the best in the world. He's extraordinary. His performances over the past few seasons have been fantastic."

"He started the season brilliantly, with an extraordinary performance that's difficult to achieve. However, as we know, Bayern Munich is a strong team with many good players like Harry Kane," said Vitinha.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich's veteran goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer, also recognized PSG's threat to their hopes of winning and their chance to break the record.

"We're not afraid, we're happy to play against PSG. They're a strong team individually with a good coaching team. They deserve to win the Champions League."

"Their counter-attacks are dangerous, as are their long-range shots. PSG have a lot of quality. We have to defend well and take advantage of situations when we can cause PSG harm," said the 39-year-old goalkeeper.
