Alex Marquez Wins MotoGP Malaysia At Sepang Circuit

JAKARTA - BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP racer Alex Marquez performed brilliantly by winning the 2025 Malaysian Grand Prix at the Sepang International Circuit, Sunday, as well as recording his third Grand Prix victory this season.

After confirming the position of the 2025 MotoGP runners-up through the results on the Sprint Race the day before, Alex completed the weekend perfectly.

He finished ahead with a 2.6 second advantage over PedroACKa (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing), while the third position was won by Joan Mir (Honda HRC Castrol).

Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) experienced a different fate, which failed to finish due to technical problems, even though he had led the race at the start of the race.

Bagnaia started from the leading position and immediately shot after the start light turned on. But his advantage did not last long after being overtaken by Alex Marquez on the second lap. Since then, the Spaniard appeared innocently, maintaining the rhythm of racing and building a consistent advantage in front of him.

Meanwhile, Bagnaia and Asko were involved in a fierce duel in the second position. Several times there was an action against each other until finally Askota managed to get past Bagnaia on lap 13th. The defending world champion tried to retaliate, but his motorbike experienced a decline in performance in the last three laps and finally had to enter the Ducati garage.

Bagnaia's failure was put to good use by Mir, who moved up to third. Finish behind him, Franco Morbidelli (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) took fourth place, followed by Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) in fifth place.

Fabio Di Giannantonio (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) finished sixth, followed by Enea Bastianini (Red Bull KTM Tech3) who took seventh place after appearing impressive after the comeback. Luca Marini (Honda HRC Castrol), Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing), and Ai Ogura (Trackhouse MotoGP Team) complete the top ten positions.

Meanwhile, Fermin Aldegeer (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP), who had confirmed the Rookie of the Year title, failed to finish after falling during the race, leaving four laps.

The 2025 MotoGP series will continue into its 21st round at the Portuguese Grand Prix which will be held on November 7' 9th.
