MotoGP: After Winning In Motegi, Francesco Bagnaia Hopes To Win In Mandalika

JAKARTA - Ducati racer Francesco Bagnaia welcomed his first double success in MotoGP 2025 after winning the main race at the Motegi Circuit, Japan, Sunday (28/9).

Bagnaia had his perfect weekend at Motegi after getting pole position on Saturday.

On the same day, he won his first sprint, then closed it with a win on Sunday, with a distance of 4.196 seconds from his world champion teammate this season, Marc Marquez.

Bagnaia's brilliant performance came too late because the world champion race ended when this season left five races, starting from the Indonesian Grand Prix next week.

However, citing Ducati's page on Sunday, he said, "After a challenging season it's hard to imagine we can finish it, it's better late than never".

This is the second major race victory for the Italian racer after being in the United States six months ago.

This note proves that he is still the 'king' of Motegi, after last year made the achievement the same.

"It's the first weekend where I feel like I'm back on track, and we're really compact and doing great," Bagnaia said.

This victory made him collect 274 points in third place, and brought the hopes of finishing as runners-up, after only 64 points adrift of Alex Marquez who was above him.

Bagnaia hopes to continue her good performance in the last five races.

In Indonesia, this two-time world champion has a good record after winning in 2023 and climbing the third place podium in 2024.

"I never stop believing in myself and the team," concluded Pecco.

The Indonesian MotoGP will be held at the Mandalika Circuit, Lombok on October 5.
