China Masters 2025: 7 Indonesian Representatives Get Round Of 16 Tickets

Putri Kusuma Wardani along with six other Indonesian representatives qualified for the second round of the 2025 China Masters (doc. PBSI).

JAKARTA Indonesia is certain to have as many as seven representatives who managed to secure tickets to the second round of the 2025 China Masters. That number is half of the total representatives sent to this event.

The Super 750 BWF level tournament completed a series of first-half matches on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, WIB night. Of the nine representatives who played on the second day, five of them qualified.

Mixed doubles Jafar Hidayatullah/Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu were the first representatives to qualify for the second round. This pair stopped Hiroki Midorikawa/Natsu Saito from Japan.

Amri Syahnawi/Nita Violina Marwah then followed. The couple added mixed double tickets thanks to a win over British Callum Hemming/Estelle van Leeuwen.

The men's singles Jonatan Christie then followed the two pairs above. The 2018 Asian Games gold medalist and fifth seed stopped the Japanese representative, Kenta Nishimoto.

The next ticket was obtained by the women's doubles Rachel Alllessya Rose/Febi Setianingrum. They maintain hope for successfully repatriating Rui Hirokami/Sayaka Hobara who are also from Japan.

Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana are the last safe representatives on the second day of the tournament. They also won over the Japanese representatives, namely the Kenya Mitsuhoshi/Hiroki Okamura pair.

Earlier on the first day Tuesday, September 16, 2025, Indonesia received two tickets through Putri Kusuma Wardani and Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri.

The second round of the China Masters 2025 match will take place on Thursday, September 18, 2025. The series of matches will start at 09.00 local time or 08.00 WIB.
