JAKARTA - FIM, IRTA and Dorna Sports on Friday announced the cancellation of this year's Finnish MotoGP Grand Prix due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic coupled with travel restrictions to the country.

Reported by Antara, Friday, May 14, Dorna Sports also announced a five-year contract extension with KymiRing to ensure the finnish circuit remains in the MotoGP calendar at least until 2026.

To fill the vacant slots, organizers will add the Styria Grand Prix to be held at the Red Bull Ring circuit on August 8, before the Austrian Grand Prix held at the same circuit the following week.

Austrian local authorities have allowed a limited number of spectators to watch the Styria and Austrian Grand Prix in the Red Bull Ring by implementing strict health protocols, motoGP's official website says.
