PSSI Performs Reshuffle: Erick Thohir Is No Longer The Chairman Of The Referee Committee

PSSI held an Exco meeting to overhaul a number of committees (doc. PSSI).

PSSI carried out reshuffles in several committee leadership positions. One of the affected was Erick Thohir, who no longer held concurrent positions as Chairman of the PSSI Referee Committee.

Erick Thohir is now focusing on holding his post as General Chair (Ketum) of PSSI, while the position of Chairman of the Referee Committee is now being held by Yoshimi Ogawa, who was previously a representative on the committee.

PSSI's Technical Director (Dirtek), Alexander Zwiers, will also hold concurrent positions as PSSI Technical Committee.

"The Referee Committee will be led directly by Yoshimi Ogawa, not me anymore, thank God. The Technical Committee is led directly by the newly elected Director of Technology, Alexander Zwiers."

"We are all doing this to ensure transparency, integrity that we want to improve in Indonesian football," said Erick Thohir in a statement during a press conference in Jakarta, Tuesday, September 16, 2025.

The decision to carry out reshuffles in a number of fields is a concrete action from the results of the PSSI Exco (Executive Committee) meeting in Surabaya some time ago. In addition to the two committees above, there are also several other committees that have been replaced by their leadership.

"So, it has been met and decided, later the Disciplinary Committee (Komdis) will be led by Umar Husein. Later Mr. Umar Husein will explain his work program to Exco this week. God willing, on Thursday (18 September 2025)."

"The Appeal Committee (Komding) is led by Mr. Ali Mukartono. This is part of the improvement of the comprehensive system, which we hope for in the league especially, because there are many votes that want improvements in Komdis and Komding," said Erick Thohir.
