Tangerang Dispora Prepares Cipondoh Mini Stadium For A Sustainable Football Competition

TANGERANG - Renovation of the Cipondoh Mini Stadium using synthetic grass called the Youth and Sports Service (Dispora) of Tangerang City, Banten in order to be able to hold matches in the regional and even national arenas.

"We are targeting the Cipondoh Mini Stadium to hold a prestigious age group football competition, because all available facilities are guaranteed to meet standards from the quality of the grass to the newly installed lighting," said Head of the Tangerang City Youth and Sports Service (Dispora) Kaonang in Tangerang, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, September 13.

Kaonang said that the renovation process for the Cipondoh Mini Stadium had been 100 percent completed and was part of a project to improve the quality of sports infrastructure in Tangerang City.

Synthetic grass facilities were chosen to improve the quality standards of the Cipondoh Mini Stadium in order to be able to hold matches and even age group football competitions

"Now, the field uses synthetic grass which has advantages that can be used in all weather fields and is suitable for coaching soccer athletes at a young age because this stadium is widely utilized by the Football School (SSB)," said Kaonang

Not only synthetic grass facilities, but the Cipondoh Mini Stadium also has various new facilities from spectator stands, benches (bench), roasters, to the installation of lighting with a capacity of 1,200 lux which has met lighting standards to organize football matches at night.

"The Tangerang City Government hopes that the new face of the Cipondoh Mini Stadium can encourage the progress of the development of sports cities, sports and sports tourism in Tangerang City," he said.

Tangerang Mayor Sahrudin said that sports development is part of a strategy to build a healthy, active, competitive city.

One of the real steps is to organize various sports activities that not only encourage a healthy lifestyle, but also open up great opportunities in the sport tourism sector.

According to Sachrudin, sport tourism is one of the potential sectors that can be worked on seriously. In addition to improving public fitness, regional and national sports activities such as tournaments also stimulate the wheels of the local economy.
