Results Of The 2025/2026 Super League: Persik Wins Thin, Persib Silences Persebaya After Being Suspended

Persib narrowly won over Persebaya 1-0 in the fifth week of the 2025/2026 Super League (Instagram/@persib).

JAKARTA - The fifth week of the Super League 2025/2026 match brings together Persik Kediri vs. Malut United and Persib Bandung vs Persebaya Surabaya.

As a result, Persik won 2-1 over its guests, while Persib's match against Persebaya had to be suspended due to the weather.

Persik Kediri hosted Malut United at Brawijaya Stadium on Friday, September 12, 2025, afternoon WIB. In that match, the White Tigers won 2-1.

With the status of the host, Persik immediately opened the scoring when the game had only been running for two minutes. Jose Enrique Rodriguez listed a name on the scoreboard after maximizing Williams Logo's assist.

The White Tiger doubled their lead in the 16th minute through Imanol Garcia who grabbed the ball from a corner which was executed by Williams Logo. Persik won 2-0 and lasted until the first half ended.

Continuing to the second half, North Maluku United increased the intensity of attacks to catch up. As a result, the visitors scored in the 60th minute through Gustavo Moreno who took advantage of Igor Inocencio's pass.

North Maluku United did not give up on finding an equalizer in the remaining time. Unfortunately, their efforts failed to produce results and made the score 2-1 for Persik's advantage to survive until the long whistle sounded.

In another match which was held simultaneously, there was a Persib Bandung match that Met Persebaya Surabaya at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium (GBLA).

Until the end of the first half, Persib and Persebaya drew 0-0. However, in the second half, Maung Bandung won 1-0 thanks to Uiliam Barros' goal in the 53rd minute.

In the second half, the very heavy rain flushed the GBLA Stadium which made field conditions impossible.

As a result, when entering the 72nd minute, referee Candra decided to stop the match temporarily because there were puddles at several points in the field.

After the intensity of the rain shrank and the field conditions improved, the match continued. Persebaya immediately took the initiative to control the ball in order to find an equalizer goal.

They continued to press Persib's defense, but less effective attacks made their efforts always run aground before entering the penalty box.

Meanwhile, Persib used a counter-attack to find a goal that could finish the match. Eliano Reijnders got a golden opportunity in the 88th minute.

He took advantage of a wild ball that failed in the sweep of Persebaya's players and just faced Ernando Ari. Unfortunately, his flick was still blocked by the goalkeeper.

Rivera was caught heading Guaycochea's head in the debate so the referee awarded him a red card in the 90+2 minute.
