Andy Ruiz Is Considered A Suitable Opponent For Moses Ituma

JAKARTA Former integrated heavyweight world champion Andy Ruiz is considered the most suitable opponent for Moses Ituma, a 20-year-old fighter from England who is currently on the rise.

The opinion was conveyed by Tony Bellew, a former British boxer, responding to the superiority of DAZN Boxing who questioned who Ituma's next best opponent would be.

"I think the most suitable fight for Moses Ituma next is against Andy Ruiz," wrote Tony on social media X (formerly Twitter).

Ituma is one of the most talked about heavyweight boxers in the world today after beating Dillian Whyte just less than two minutes last weekend in Saudi Arabia.

After that victory, Ituma was immediately linked with several big names, one of which was the undisputed world champion twice, Oleksandr Usyk. However, the clash against Usyk was considered too early.

Ricky Hatton, a British boxer who has won in various divisions, is one who rejects the discourse of the Ituma versus Usyk fight.

He praised Ituma for his performance against Whyte, but suggested that the Slovak-born fighter need to increase his flight hours if he wants to fight Usyk.

"I think they might be too quick to determine the next step. They are talking about Usyk for the next fight, but let's hold on to it a little bit," he said.

Ituma is recorded to have won all 13 of his fights, 11 of which ended in knockouts (KO). In addition, the last nine wins he managed to get in just the first two rounds.

On the other hand, Usyk has just won the undisputed world heavyweight title for the second time after beating Daniel Dubois in the fifth round last month at Wembley, London, England.

Previously, the Ukrainian fighter won his first undisputed heavyweight world title when he stopped Tyson Fury in a 12-round fight in May 2024.
