Heavy Rain Had Disrupted US Open 2025 Qualification

Mixed doubles Iga Swiatek/Casper Ruud advanced to the final of the US Open 2025 (doc. US Open).

JAKARTA - Heavy rain flushed for most of the day the US Open 2025 qualification. Only 14 of the 64 second round qualifying matches could start on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, before the decision to cancel the match was made around 16.00 local time (Thursday, August 21, 2025 in the morning WIB).

Swiatek/Ruud advanced to the top match after beating first seed Jessica Pegula/Jack Draper with a 3-5, 5-3, (10-8) victory.

Meanwhile, the UK's Jodie Burrage and Jay Clarke were among a small group of qualifying players who made it into the field early.
