Preparations for the 2025 Youth and Junior Sambo Martial World Championships in Indonesia continue to be carried out and are just waiting for directions and budget support from the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora).
In addition to preparation for the implementation, PP Persambi has also carried out a selection program for Indonesian athletes to face this event. As the host, Indonesia will field 35 athletes.
Arnold said that so far these athletes had not been summoned to undergo a national training camp (pelatnas) because they were still waiting for a budget from the Government.
"Now it is still decentralized. A month before the World Championships will be centralized while waiting for the budget," he said.
This year's World Sambo Youth and Junior Championship has a total of 37 games, both men and women. That includes seven new junior women's combat numbers added.
This combat number is not contested in the youth category because it is prohibited. For the youth category, the athlete's age coverage is 16-18 years, while for the junior category the age coverage is 18-20 years.
