2025 Women's AFF Cup Results: Indonesian Women's National Team Slaughtered By Thailand 0-7

The Indonesian Women's National Team lost badly to Thailand in the inaugural match of the 2025 Women's AFF Cup (doc. Indonesian national team).

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Women's National Team received a crushing defeat in the inaugural match of the 2025 Women's AFF Cup. Facing Thailand at the Lach Tray Stadium, Haiphong, Vietnam on Wednesday, August 6 afternoon WIB, Garuda Pertiwi collapsed 0-7.

At the beginning of the game, Thailand immediately took domination. In the sixth minute their goal tap began to open through the first goal made by Kanchanathat Phumsri.

In the 18th minute, Thailand managed to increase the advantage to 2-0 through Maddison Jett Castine's speculative shot from outside the penalty box which the Indonesian goalkeeper failed to anticipate.

In the 25th minute, Thailand was awarded a penalty after Indonesian player Rosdilah tackled Kanchanathat Phumsri in the penalty box. Kanchanathat FUmsri immediately became a penalty execution and managed to carry out his duties well to bring Thailand 3-0 up.
