Turkish President's Son Will Attend The Opening Of The 2025 NTB VIII National Fornas

JAKARTA The son of Turkish President, Bilal Erdogan, will certainly be present as an international guest of honor at the opening of the VIII 2025 National Community Sports Festival (Fornas) in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

The biennial public sporting event is scheduled to take place from July 26 to August 1, 2025. This is a historic stage for Indonesia as well as the momentum of cultural diplomacy between nations.

"The presence of international figures such as Bilal Erdogan proves that Fornas has transformed into an event that is not only on a national scale, but is also recognized by the world," said the Head of the 2025 NTB VIII National Fornas Organizers, Ibnu Riza.

Bilal Erdogan is known as the President of the World Ethnosport Confederation (WEC), a world institution that carries the preservation and development of traditional cross-cultural sports.

His presence in NTB is a tangible manifestation of his support for the spirit of sportsmanship, cultural preservation, and cooperation between nations through recreational sports.

Bilal Erdogan is scheduled to attend the opening ceremony on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the Graha Bhakti Praja Building, the NTB Governor's Office. He will be accompanied by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

In addition, Bilal Erdogan is also planned to visit a number of venues for recreational sports matches and interact directly with local Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) players who also enliven the sports tourism ecosystem in this year's edition of the National Fornas.

"We are honored to accept the presence of the President of WEC, Bilal Erdogan. This is the world's recognition of Indonesia's potential, especially NTB, as the center of sport tourism and the rich culture of the archipelago," said Riza.

Fornas VIII NTB 2025 will present more than 20,000 sports activists from 38 provinces. They competed in 74 Inorga (Recreation Sports Organization Education) spread across 36 venues in seven districts/cities throughout NTB.

This event is not only about achievements and competition, but also a collaborative space for culture, tourism promotion, and community economic empowerment through the creative industry and local MSMEs.

Carrying the theme "Loss Win, Everyone Is Happy", Fornas VIII NTB 2025 is ready to inflame the spirit of joy, brotherhood, and world peace through the power of recreational sports.
