JAKARTA The 2025 National Esports League has officially started. The highest competition from Indonesian esports will come in a tiered league format consisting of League 3, League 2, and League 1.

The series of competitions will start from July 23, 2025 and the playoffs will be the closing of the length of the event in an offline event which will take place on November 27-29, 2025.

Event Director of Garudaku, Wim Reynaldo Bawas, hopes that this league can be a way for esports fighters throughout Indonesia to show that they deserve to stand on a professional stage while proving their hobby can be a way of life.

"The 2025 National Esports League is not just a matter of matches. It's about dreams built from small spaces, from simple devices, and from the passion that never goes out," he said.

This year's tournament carries the spirit of regeneration and openness and opens registration opportunities for individual players and teams from all over Indonesia.

The 2025 National Esports League format is designed to reach all levels of the ecosystem, both from community players to professional teams.

The competition started with Liga 3 on 23 July-14 September 2025, then Liga 2 on 25 September-18 October 2025, and closed with Liga 1 on 31 October-15 November 2025. In total there were 12 teams competing in Liga 1, including two promotional teams from Liga 2.

Not only being a competitive arena, the National Esports League has also transformed into the anticipated esports festival and pop culture.

Offline activation which will be held during the Playoffs and Grand Finals such as meet & greet with professional players, fun match, coswalk competition, student art stages, to the UMKM and F&B bazaars will color various events.

Interactive activities such as mini-tournament, stamp rally, and door prize are also designed to directly involve thousands of viewers.

Previously, at last year's event, recorded a total digital reach of 76.6 million, impressions reached 117 million, and views of digital content amounted to 21.3 million views on various platforms, such as TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.

In terms of participation, the 2024 National Esports League managed to collect 132,032 registered athletes, 326,050 offline visitors, and 535,930 digital traffic visits.

This achievement proves that the National Esports League is one of the leagues with the most significant reach and impact in Southeast Asia.
