Agreement With Sporting CP Terjalin, Arsenal Closer To Bringing Gyokeres

JAKARTA - A tough negotiations between Arsenal and Sporting CP for the transfer of Viktor Gyokeres have finally come to an agreement point.

European football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, uploaded that Gyokeres is ready to dock to Emirates.

"Arsenal agreed to recruit Viktor Gyokeres as their new striker. Arsenal's deal with Sporting has been reached after a five-year contract was agreed with Gyokeres, everything has been completed," wrote Romano on Instagram on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, WIB night.

Romano further said that Arsenal will pay a dowry of 63.5 million euros or approximately IDR 1.2 trillion plus 10 million euros (IDR 190 billion).

One of the reasons the Arsenal and Sporting CP deals came true was because Gyokeres agents reduced their commission.

"A big addition to Arteta, Gyokeres is coming," wrote Romano.

Although the agreement has been reached, it is not clear whether Gyokeres will follow Arsenal's pre-season tour to Asia or not.

Arsenal arrived in Singapore on July 19, 2025 to play two friendly matches against AC Milan and Newcastle United.

They are then scheduled to go to Hong Kong to continue their tour against Tottenham Hotspur.
