Osimhen's Arrival To Galatasaray Makes Alvaro Morata Follow By Cesc Fabregas To Como

Alvaro Morata will soon join Como under head coach Cesc Fabregas (Instagram/@alvaromorata).

JAKARTA - Attacker Alvaro Morata is rumored to be joining Como 1907 soon to follow in the footsteps of Cesc Manager Fabregas.

This is the latest step for this 32-year-old Spaniard after spending six months in Galatasaray.

Morata left Atletico Madrid for AC Milan last summer. However, after changing coaches, he joined Galatasaray on loan in February 2025.

Negotiations are still being carried out. It is not yet known whether Morata will move permanently or on a loan. You see, the contract with AC Milan is still until June 2028.

If he joins, Morata adds to the list of Spanish players in Como. Como already has a number of Spanish players in the squad, including winger Jesus Rodriguez recently recruited from Real Betis.

Meanwhile, Como will become Morata's seventh club at senior level, in a career that makes him often change teams.

He graduated from Real Madrid's academy before playing for Juventus, returned to Real Madrid, moved to Chelsea, then Atletico Madrid, then loaned back to Juventus, moved to Milan last summer, and last played for Galatasaray.

The recruitment of Victor Osimhen, which is rumored to be being carried out by Galatasaray soon, means Morata will only get a chance to start in the 2025/2026 season.

Morata admitted earlier this year that she regretted leaving Atletico Madrid for Milan last summer.

He has spoken openly about the mental health challenges he has faced during his career.

He revealed that he almost left the Spanish National Team (Timnas) - before captaining the win at Euro 2024 - after suffering from depression and panic attacks.

Meanwhile, apart from Morata, Como also agreed to recruit Real Madrid's young player, Jacobo Ramon.

A cost of 2.5 million euros plus additional costs based on appearances as part of an agreement between the two clubs that has been reached.

Real Madrid will have a resale clause of 50 percent and three buyback clauses for the future, just like Nico Paz's deal.

Como looked serious about strengthening himself. In the 2024/2025 season, they had a slick journey in Serie A. Cesc Fabregas's troops finished in 10th as a new promotional team from Serie B.
