Number 10 At Manchester United Will Be Given To Matheus Cunha

JAKARTA - Manchester United's new player, Matheus Cunha, will wear the number 10 jersey that was previously worn by Marcus Rashford.

As ESPN reported last week, the Red Devils have removed the jersey number from Rashford, who has been wearing number 10 since 2018.

Cunha, who moved from Wolverhampton Wanderers with a transfer value of 62.5 million pounds wearing the number 10 at Molineux for the 2024/2025 season.

Giving number 10 to Cunha cannot be separated from the condition of Rashford who has not played for Manchester United since December 2024 and spent the second half of the 2024/2025 season on loan at Aston Villa.

The 27-year-old has been asked by club officials to postpone his return to Carrington, while he continues to try to leave Old Trafford.

Aston Villa has also decided not to take a permanent option for Rashford's 40 million move.

The value remains the same for any club interested this summer, but so far Manchester United have not received a definite offer.

According to ESPN reports, the attacker's representative hopes Barcelona will increase their interest after Nico Williams turned down the offer after signing a new long-term contract with Athletic Club.

Barcelona have also shown interest in Luis Diaz, but Liverpool have so far remained firm on their stance that they will not listen to an offer for the Colombian.

Bayern Munich is also looking for a winger who is being linked to Rashford after briefly glancing at Nico Williams.

Rashford really wanted to move abroad and play in the Champions League. However, he still has a three-year contract with Manchester United.

The Red Devils will consider a one-season loan offer as long as they can pay most of their salary.

Meanwhile, Antony, Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, and badminton Malacia have also informed Manchester United they want to move this summer and have been given an extension of time to take care of transfers.

The five players are expected to return to the Red Devils by the end of July 2025 if the transfer has not materialized.
