Persib Bandung Officially Recruit Adam Przybek, Replace Mendosa As Goalkeeper

Persib Bandung officially recruited England goalkeeper Adam Przybek as a replacement for Kevin Mendoza who left at the end of last season.

Deputy CEO of PT Persib Bandung Bermartabat, Adhitia Putra Herawan, welcomed Przybek's arrival with optimism and hoped that the goalkeeper could immediately adapt and make a real contribution to the team.

The goalkeeper with a height of 192 cm was born in Nuneaton, England, April 2, 2000. Despite being born in England, Przybek has Polish blood and has strengthened the U-21 Wales national team.

He has been contracted for two seasons and will start his new experience outside the United Kingdom and Eastern Europe for the first time in his professional career.

Prior to joining Persib, Przybek gained experience in a number of European clubs such as Ipswich Town, Wycombe Wanderers, Walsall & Stevenage, Stalowa Wola, and Penybont FC.

At the FC Penybont, Przybek recorded an impressive performance. After appearing in 11 matches in half his debut season, he was trusted as the main goalkeeper and appeared in 31 of the 32 matches in the 2024/2025 season, as well as bringing his club to finish in the runners-up position of the Wales Main League.

Adhitia revealed that Przybek's presence was part of Persib's medium-term project to balance the composition of the squad by combining potential young players and international experiences.

He hopes that this recruitment can maintain the team's competitiveness in two competitions at once, namely League 1 and AFC Champions League Two 2025/2026.

He added that with the age of 25, Przybek is considered to be in the golden phase of the development of a goalkeeper. The club hopes that its presence will increase the depth and quality of the Maung Bandung defense.

"With the age of only 25 years, Adam Przybek is in the golden phase of the development of a goalkeeper," he said.
