Indonesia Open 2025: Indonesia Lowers 20 Representatives

Jafar Hidayatullah/Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu are determined to win the Indonesia Open 2025 (doc. PBSI).

JAKARTA Indonesia will certainly field 20 representatives at the Indonesia Open 2025. The women's doubles sector is in the top position with the highest number.

The Super 1000 BWF level tournament will take place on June 3-8, 2025 at Istora Senayan, Jakarta. The total prize provided is US$1.45 million or equivalent to Rp23 billion.

Indonesia as the host was recorded as lowering two representatives in the women's and men's singles, three representatives in the men's doubles, seven representatives in the women's doubles, and six representatives in the mixed doubles.

The chairman of the Organizing Committee, Armand Darmadji, ensured that the Indonesia Open 2025 was ready to be held. This tournament will also provide a different experience for players and spectators.

"Tiket has sold 70 percent. We have remaining tickets on the spot and one time entry in two categories, each of which has 300 tickets," he said at a press conference in Jakarta.

One of Indonesia's representatives in the women's singles who participated in this tournament was Putri Kusuma Wardani. He took part with Komang Ayu Cahya Dewi.

Putri said that she was enthusiastic about welcoming this tournament because she would definitely get full support from supporters. He also hopes to be maximal.

"For the target, this is Super 1000 and definitely the opponent is also difficult so we will try to do our best. If possible, the results will definitely be the best," said Putri.

The same hope was conveyed by a mixed doubles specialist, Fekha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu, who will partner with Jafar Hidayatullah.

Felisha said that playing on Istora was always special for her. He also wants to be optimal when he gets support from his own public supporters.

"If it's a target problem, I definitely want to win, but it's realistic that this is a Super 1000 event. So, there must be no easy opponents. For that, I will try to do my best and definitely want to always win," he said.

Indonesia has been absent from the title in this tournament since 2021. The last representative to win this event was Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo/Marchs Fernaldi Gideon.
