JAKARTA - The Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA) stated that the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) is ready to hold a national car racing championship titled Indonesia Touring Car Race (ITCR) 2025.
"The 2025 ITCR National Championship will be held in three main series as part of the Mandalika Festival of Speed (MFOS) series, namely on July 18-20, October 24-26, and December 12-14," said MGPA President Director Priandi Satria in Central Lombok, Sunday, June 1, quoted by Antara.
Indonesia Touring Car Race (ITCR) 2025 is again a concern in this year's national car racing calendar. This racing event is an integral part of the Indonesia Touring Car Championship (ITCC).
"This is a very good program and as much as possible there are several rounds every year as a nursery event for four-wheel racers and also to provide exposure to the Indonesian automotive world," he said.
MGPA as the manager of the Mandalika Circuit, he continued, was proud to be able to present the Indonesia Touring Car Race as part of the Mandalika Festival Of Speed (MFOS) 2025.
"This is a tangible form of MGPA's commitment to supporting the growth of the motorsport industry in Indonesia," he said.
For the 2025 season, technical regulations and point systems still refer to the rules set by the Central Indonesian Motor Association (IMI). There are no significant changes from the previous season, including in terms of standings or racing mechanisms. In other words, ITCR 2025 maintains strict and professional competition standards.
"The Mandalika Circuit is declared in top condition to hold this event," he said.
The success of MFOS 1, which coincided with GT World Challenge Asia, is proof of the readiness of this circuit to hold national and international competitions.
His party hopes that the renovation of the Sentul International Circuit will be completed in due course, so that they can again hold the ITCR National Championship.
"In fact, it is very possible that there will be two national championships next year, so that it will be more exciting and crowded," he said.
The racers are believed to be enthusiastic, especially for those who will first taste the atmosphere of the race at the Indonesian pride circuit.
"The typical technical challenge of the circuit and Lombok temperature will be an interesting factor in competition," he said.
