Amoritism: Manchester United Can Make Money Without Having To Sell Bruno Fernandes

Ruben Amorim said Manchester United could raise funds in a way other than sending Bruno Fernandes to the Saudi Arabian Pro League, adding he believed the midfielder wanted to stay at Old Trafford.

In recent days, Al Hilal is reportedly exploring an agreement for Fernandes.

The big offer from Saudi Arabia is expected to deter the Red Devils into accepting it after their finances were hit by failing to qualify for the European tournament next season.

Al Hilal hopes to finalize a deal in the next two weeks, with the 2025 Club World Cup which will begin in the United States on June 14, 2025.

Seeing Fernandes leave would be a crushing blow to the atmosphere, who witnessed his side rise from behind to beat Hong Kong on Friday, May 30, 2025.

However, the transfer will cost the club a significant fee -- a potential of around 100 million pounds -- and allow for a bigger squad reshuffle.

When asked if the match against Hong Kong could be Fernandes' last game for Manchester United, Amorim immediately denied it.

"I don't think so. I don't know for sure. I think he wants to stay. He refuses a lot."

"The club can look for other ways to make money. My feeling is that he definitely wants to continue with Manchester United, but we never know," said Amorim.
