JAKARTA Alex Marquez successfully won a shock victory in the 2025 English MotoGP Sprint Race at the Silverstone Circuit, Saturday, May 24. The Gresini Ducati BK8 racer defeated his own brother, Marc Marquez, and ended his eight-time perfect record for world champion in the Sprint Race this season.
Alex, who previously experienced a hard highside that triggered a red flag in the morning training session, rose tremendously in the race. He took advantage of Marc's mistake that went wide while leading the race and never let his lead finish line. This is his first Sprint win since the 2023 Malaysian Grand Prix.
