JAKARTA - FIFA president Gianni Infantino said he was not worried about ticket sales for the 2025 Club World Cup in the United States despite questions about how well the sales of event tickets were followed by the 32 teams across the country.
Infantino, who appeared at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Monday, April 14, 2025, to promote the 2025 Club World Cup, said the reason not to worry was because stadiums were fully occupied for friendly matches between top teams during pre-season tours in the United States in previous years.
"I'm not at all worried about filling the stadium when the teams come to play in the Club World Cup, to play for something real, not just an exhibition match where sometimes second or third squads are deployed and so on."
"This is a real game. It's a real tournament. It's a real Club World Cup. These are the best players. The best teams will come," said Infantino.

He added that once people understand the tournament, they will participate, but admit FIFA must explain the Club World Cup to fans.
The tournament with 32 teams has never been this big before and has a new format after the seven-team versions were held in 2021, 2022, and 2023.
FIFA officials refused to release ticket sales figures so far when asked by ESPN on Monday, April 14, 2025, local time.
The cheapest seat on Ticketmaster for the opening match on June 14, 2025 at Miami Gardens, Florida, featuring Lionel Messi and Inter Miami CF and Egyptian club Al Ahly, for $356.80.
Some parts of Hard Rock Stadium's upper and lower deck show more than 100 tickets available on Ticketmaster.
The same goes for the tournament's second game on June 15, 2025 in Cincinnati between Bayern Munich and Auckland City, with the cheapest seat for $94.80 which makes more sense on Ticketmaster and some parts with more than 100 tickets remaining.
For the first match at the Rose Bowl on June 15, 2025 between Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid, more than half of the 26 Rose Bowl section have at least 100 tickets available at Ticketmaster, with the cheapest ticket for 133.80 US dollars.
FIFA also recently announced a package in which supporters can purchase ticket packages for the 2025 Club World Cup with "secured options" to buy tickets to one of the 2026 World Cup matches, excluding the final.
"When people see what it is, then they realize that they have to come. In the United States, I'm always told, you have to bring the best."
"The Americans, they just want to see the best. They don't want to see things that are mediocre. Well, the best will come," Infantino said again.
Infantino also discussed the possibility of Atlanta hosting the Women's World Cup final. He joked that the place with a capacity of 71,000 seats would require another 20,000 seats.
However, he also indicated the city - which has 14 matches between the Club World Cup and the World Cup, including the 2025 World Cup semifinals - had a chance to make an impression.
While Infantino may say he is not worried about ticket sales for the Club World Cup, he insists one thing, namely tickets are still available.
FIFA president ended his opening remarks saying he wanted to do publicity after showing off the Club World Cup trophy and announcing a $1 million donation for a social project for children in Atlanta.
"Let me do publicity. There are still some tickets available. FIFA.com, get and enjoy the best game of the best for this, which is something extraordinary," Infantino said on the podium.
