List 8 Indonesian Archers In The 2025 World Cup Initial Series

JAKARTA Eight Indonesian archers took part in the inaugural series of the 2025 Archery World Cup (AWC).

The event was held in Auburndale, Florida, United States, on April 8'13. This is the first trial event for the Indonesian archery squad at the start of this year's international competition season.

Athletes who go there are the best from the recurve and compound numbers. The women's recurve is also targeted to reach the semifinals there.

The archers departing were Riau Ega Agata Salsabila, Ahmad Khoirul Baisith, Alvianto Bagas Prastyadi, Gusti Fazli Kertinegoro, Diananda Choirunisa, Syifa Nurfifah Kamal, Ayu Mereta Dyasari, and Fathya Erista Maharan.

They were accompanied by coach Kyung Chul Lee, Hendra Setiawan, Rizki Ferdiansyah, and official Abdul Razak.

"Towards departure, we did not increase the intensity of the exercise, only maintaining the number of arrows fired to remain stable," said Hendra.

The 2025 Archery World Cup will be held in four series before reaching the final round.

The second series will take place in Shanghai, China (611 May); following that in Antalya, Turkey (38 June); and finally Madrid, Spain (813 July).

Meanwhile, the final round will be held in Nanjing, China, on October 17'19. The final match will feature the eight best archers from each category.

One of the important changes this year is the elimination of the early elimination round in each series. Only 64 of the best archers from the qualifying round immediately qualified for the knockout system without a chance.

In each series, the return archer will compete from a distance of 70 meters with a target of 122 cm. On the other hand, the compound archer collides with accuracy from a distance of 50 meters with a target of 80 cm in diameter.

The qualification is carried out through 72 arrows, the result determining the seed for the elimination phase.

The match system is different for each category. Recurve uses a system set, while the compound uses a score accumulation. If there is a draw, the match is determined by shoot-off or an arrow that is closest to the target center.
