Persija Coach Beware Of Madura United In Premier League 1 Match After Eid Holiday

JAKARTA - Carlos Pena will be vigilant against Madura United. The Persija Jakarta coach sees them as a tough team even though they now occupy the bottom of the League 1 standings.

Currently Persija is in fourth position, while Madura United struggles to rise from 15th position. The match between the two teams will be the first match after the competition holiday in the framework of Eid al-Fitr.

"Madura has grown a lot with this coach (Alfredo Vera) in recent matches. They have shown good confidence, not only in the league, but also in Asian competitions," Carlos said at a press conference via audio footage published at ANTARA on Saturday, April 5.

"And they got good results. So, tomorrow we are ready to face a tough opponent," he continued.

"We have analyzed them, we know all their strengths, and we will try to be better than them," he continued.

In the match which will be played at the Bangkalan Gelora Stadium today, Persija will not be strengthened by Gustavo Almeida, Maciej Gajos, and Rizky Ridho.

Gustavo and Gajos were suspended due to the red card they got in the match against Arema FC, while Ridho was running Umrah.

"This will be a great opportunity for players who may not have had much chance to play this season," said the Spaniard.

Carlos did not make the absence of the three pillar players at all as a reason because according to him, all teams had their own problems.

"Tomorrow we are ready and we will fight for three points tomorrow," he concluded.
