Fast Chess Of Ramadan Cup 2025 Enlivened 452 Pecatur

JAKARTA A total of 452 chess players from all over Indonesia compete in the 2025 Ramadan Cup Fast Chess tournament organized by the Central Board of the Indonesian Chess Association (PP Percasi).

The event lasted for two days, starting from Saturday, March 15, 2025, to Sunday, March 16, 2025, at the Wisma Building of the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora), Senayan, Jakarta.

"Today we are holding a Ramadan Cup so that during Ramadan fasting month there will be positive activities," said Chairman of the 2025 Ramadan Cup Committee, Hardiyanto Kenneth, when met at the tournament location.

This year is the 22nd edition of the tournament. In total there are three categories competed in this year's edition, namely open categories, U-16 categories, and U-12 categories.

Kenneth said that this event is important for learning and increasing the ability of national chess players. He also hopes that this competition can run sporty, fair, and smooth.

"I hope this tournament can continue because chess is an Olympic sport. So, I hope it will continue every year," he said.

The Fast Chess of the 2025 Ramadan Cup provides a total prize of approximately IDR 70 million. This number increases when compared to the previous year.

Head of the PB Percasi Organization, Abdul Rivai Ras, said that this turnaman is a forum for chess players to hone their skills as well as become a gathering event.

"The real purpose and purpose of this activity is that apart from us carrying out activities to build friendship, we also accommodate chess players who continue to want to develop their talents, who want to develop their achievements," said Abdul.

Participating in this event, one of them is Grand Master Susanto Megaranto. Launching the FIDE website, the 37-year-old chess player currently has a fast chess rating of 2534.
